Child and Family Health in Söderhamn is a psychosocial service aimed at expectant parents, children aged 0-12 years, and their parents. The clinic serves as a first point of contact for expectant parents or children whose concerns lie within the family situation or with the child themselves. The service works alongside Söderhamn's youth clinic as a first-line care for children and young people with mental health issues for the age group 0-17 years. Interventions are offered according to a stepped care model, initially as digital psychoeducation individually or in groups, or booking for individual meetings at the appropriate care level. Working as a social worker with us involves contact with children, their parents, as well as pregnant/newly delivered parents.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker with us, you will have varied and meaningful tasks where you work both independently and in collaboration with healthcare neighbors and other stakeholders.

• early interventions to prevent mental health issues in children and expectant parents
• needs-based treatments for mild to moderate mental health issues at the individual and family level.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have the ability to plan and structure your work effectively, and you can independently solve problems that arise.

In the role of social worker, you should:

• be a qualified social worker or a licensed nurse with further education in psychiatry.

For this position, it is advantageous if you have a step 1 training in CBT or are a licensed health and medical care social worker. Experience in health and medical care work and working with children and young people is also advantageous.
